Advance Care Planning for Healthy Adults

Since a healthy adult has no chronic or serious illnesses, ACP is like “insurance” for unexpected events. It will have two main parts:

  1. Identifying your substitute decision-maker
  2. Think about your values, beliefs and wishes as they relate to hypothetical future healthcare needs

This is Althea. She is 72 years old. She is healthy other than an occasional cold and arthritis in her left knee.  Althea is not married. Her mother is 96 years old and she has two sisters.

Althea is a healthy person who wants to lan for her future. You can follow her through the ACP process.
